A Single Moment
Joining Amanda at Soulemama in this Friday ritual. A special, ordinary, exceptional moment from the week.
Small contemplations looking forward. My frustrated heart hopes for peaceful days.
Happy Friday!

I love the quiet, contemplation in his eyes.
Love the light and the colors in your photo….and the quiet, thoughtful look.
Such deep thoughts…
Love this moment – wonder what he’s thinking about?
very contemplative – must be nice to capture a boy having a deep and meaningful moment like that 🙂
have a great weekend

Thanks for your comment on my sap post. Surely, with 95 acres, you’ll find plenty of maples! I understand you can tap other kinds of trees, as well (birch, for one, and I can’t remember what else). We tap a silver maple as well as sugar maples; you don’t have to have the “right” ones, they’ll all work. I love being able to make our own (delicious) syrup!
The bummer end of the story is–we burned the first batch of the year–the sap that was dripping in those photos. Charred black ruined-pan mess. Sigh.
I hope we do find some maples in amongst all those trees, of course I don’t know the difference between a sugar maple and a volkswagen so I have some learning to do. I’m excited to know that birch bark can be used as we have tons of those! I’m so sorry to hear about your burned syrup, I hope you get another batch soon and have a better time.
